About the event

Come and take in Beautiful Colorado with your Nugget Sisters and Mama Miss!

Gah, I’m getting so excited…our camping trip is getting closer.  I think I’m so excited because I’m doing all this planning behind the scenes and I can’t wait to have the time together!  Ok, so…here is some information to help you decide if you’re able to come on the trip.

COST TO be paid to ANOTHER MOTHER $235  This includes:

1. FOOD:

FRIDAY: Dinner (Breakfast will be at your hotel and we will eat lunch at your cost at a favorite hole in the wall diner of Dashie’s and mine as we head toward     the mountain).

SATURDAY:  Breakfast, Dinner  (Lunch will be your cost- it’s a surprise)

     SUNDAY: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

     MONDAY: Breakfast

SNACKS:  We’ll have some community snacks and campfire treats, we’ll have water and coffee.

2. SUPPLIES:

(Tents, cots, sleeping bags, pillows, privacy tent with potty, camping chairs, dinnerware, adult body wipes, soap, hand sanitizer, bug spray etc.etc.)

Additional COSTS you are responsible for:

     1.) HOTEL: THURSDAY July 6

       BEST WESTERN FIRESTONE

       11228 Business Parks Circle

Firestone CO  (Manager: Beth Quinlan)   720-494-1925

You will have a choice of:

SINGLE QUEEN = $140.45

DOUBLE QUEEN = $174.78 (this is a discounted rate of $135 + tax)

You can choose to share your rooms if you need to reduce the price.  You girlies will figure this out on your own.) Beth, the manager, is getting back to me about reserving a block for us.  It will be under the name of Another Mother). I will update you as I receive more information.

2.) FOOD:  (Lunch on Friday, Lunch on Saturday, drinks/snacks)

3.) AIRFARE

We added one night to the campout to 1) have more time together and 2) flights are cheaper on Monday than on Sunday.

You’ll want to arrive in Denver on the 6th, any time during the day is good.

You’ll want to depart from Denver no earlier than 2 PM.  That will give us enough time to get off the mountain and get to the airport.

4.) UBER/LYFT to Best Western Hotel on Thursday, and back to the airport on Monday from Firestone  ( ~$100 round trip).   If you guys can figure out something cheaper or do a rideshare, that may be helpful.  There are only? private shuttles available. You can Google it and see if there’s something you’re interested in.

So, I hope this helps you figure out your plans!  REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE on MAY 1, 2023.  100% refunds will be available.

5.) WHAT TO EXPECT AND WHAT TO BRING

Weather in early July where we’ll be camping is generally mild.  Daytime temperatures can be up to 80 degrees and nighttime temperatures can dip to 40 degrees.  Some afternoon showers are somewhat common but rarely does it rain all day and all night.

Dressing in layers is the best way to stay warm and be able to cool down.  So you’ll want to bring t-shirts, long-sleeved shirt(s), a sweater/sweatshirt, and a jacket.  Jeans are fine, leggings and baggy pants will also serve you well.  You won’t need a winter coat with those layers.

Bring rain gear too, a poncho or rain jacket will be fine, no need for rain pants.

Closed-toe shoes are best, tennis shoes are fine, and a second pair is helpful if one pair gets wet.  Bring boots if you have them or want them, you won’t really “need” them.

We’ll provide a more comprehensive packing list closer to the campout.  Other than your own personal items and toiletries, you won’t really need to bring anything.  If you aren’t sure then just ask, we’d rather you pack light and simply, than worry about bringing the whole Cabela’s catalog with you on the plane.

We’ll do a last minute shopping run on Friday morning for any forgotten essentials.

Check out these colors from our favorite spot last fall.
